Having taught in a number of widely different locations in various countries, it is always a particular pleasure for me to return to VIS. The island itself and the academic-business centre with airy classrooms that allow for focused and lively exchange, without any urban distraction. Instead, the century-old walls smell of knowledge, business and a bit of salty sea. I recommend the site and its magnificent facilities to all academic institutions for continued learning, and to all private and public companies to optimize any management and staff challenges. VIS has all ingredients required for a fine menu of successful personal and team development.

Vis got a grip on me twice in my life. The first time some decades ago when I came to the island for the first time and in a way, being close to people and the nature, never left it since then. The second time was when I came to Vis Island School and found it to be a place that provides a perfect setting for business activities and academic exchange. This is a place where I would bring any team to refresh its processes, spirit, know how, relationships… in a magical Mediterranean setting.
This is an excellent combination of a working and relaxing environment where your perception of work obligations changes completely. Leisure was totally dedicated to enjoyment, socializing, entertainment, gastronomy and sports activities.
Lush vegetation, rocks and cliffs, flowers and medicinal herbs growing in abundance, picturesque dells, rugged landscape… all of the above united in the following description of Vis – an uncut diamond.
VERN' Island School took a very good care of me and my classmates and made us feel very welcome in Croatia. I was amazed how a University can work so far from the land and loved the surroundings of the School.
I can definitely say that my impression of Vis, VERN' and Croatia left me with such good memories that I’m sure this wasn´t my last visit to Croatia
Everyday we had lectures and some outside activities. We went kayaking in the Adriatic sea, which was amazing. Also we went to the vineyards where we learned a lot of interesting things about how they make wine and we also had an opportunity to taste it.
On the last evening of our stay we had a BBQ party and we had to stage an event which had to represent “5 Rhythms of Vis“.
